From our company-wide recycling and energy efficiency initiatives to the deliberate selection of environmentally friendly economical cars - we endeavour to operate a future focused business that is environmentally responsible and looks after the well being of our people and profits.

Our delicate soils and waterways are carefully managed to ensure the long-term sustainability of our farming operation and the surrounding environment, and we are actively working with some of our suppliers to develop functional recyclable and biodegradable packaging.

carboNZero – A world’s first

NZFC has become the world’s first fresh cuts salad processor to achieve carboNZero™ certification. We care about our products as much as we care about our planet, which is why we achieved carboNZero certification for our organisation and products. All our vehicles are fitted with GPS devices and auto steer for controlled traffic farming. This internationally recognised programme is designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by assisting companies such as ours with the information and resources to make a difference. We are committed to reducing our GHG emissions from the fields to the store.
