
Over the past 27 years NZ Fresh Cuts (NZFC) has gained a solid reputation as pioneers in the growing of premium quality fresh food products that consistently meet the market demands for convenience, innovation, freshness and taste. We have achieved this through our ongoing commitment to innovation and the utilisation of the latest growing and processing technologies, which enable us to deliver quality and hygiene standards that are truly world-class.
All our activities and procedures are directed towards locking in nutrients and delivering optimum freshness and taste. In order to achieve this our research and development team is constantly focused on improving hygiene and quality control standards, and streamlining the process of picking and delivery.
The speedy streamlining of our processing enables our salad greens to be picked, washed, chilled, packed and delivered to supermarkets throughout New Zealand within a maximum timeframe of 48 hours to ensure maximum freshness and flavour.
The production of sprouts is equally streamlined with precise computer control over all facets of their growing, from heat and lighting to nutrient systems. This enables us to optimise the growing conditions that produce thousands of kilograms of product every month of the year.
We currently produce 60% of our fresh cut requirements from our 80-hectare model farm in Rangiriri and our ¾ hectare hydroponic greenhouse in Karaka, which produces Radicchio for addition to our baby leaf salads.
NZFC has also succeeded in providing an edge in the market for several consumer brands through the development of long shelf life packaging and innovative products like the award-winning, internationally patented Salad Shakes®, which we developed in partnership with Dashboard Diner Ltd.
